Our Story
How Spare-it started
The problem was clear: organizations had no visibility into their waste streams beyond monthly dumpster reports. No real data. No way to improve.
Cofounded in Boston by Laurent Meunier and Laurent Canneva, a leader who transitioned from two decades in healthcare to focus on our planet's health, Spare-it began with a mission to bring waste intelligence upstream, where it matters the most—inside buildings, at the point of disposal.
Today, that mission has become a global movement. Our technology monitors over 4.3 million square feet across 14 countries, helping organizations achieve an average 18% waste reduction year-over-year. With more than 20,000 engaged users and 498 tons of waste diverted from landfills, we're proving that when organizations have the right data, real sustainability progress is possible. As the pioneer in waste intelligence, we're just getting started.
